Teller

The Teller provides counter services to branch customers and processes routine cash and non-cash transactions accurately. The role handles deposits, withdrawals, payment instructions, foreign exchange and cheque-related services while following branch operating procedures and transaction controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Process customer cash deposits and withdrawals accurately and verify transaction details before completion.
• Handle drafts, telegraphic transfers, payment orders and standing-order instructions within authorised procedures.
• Accept cheque deposits and support other routine cheque services in accordance with branch requirements.
• Process foreign currency purchases and sales using approved rates and transaction checks.
• Coordinate with branch operations or Treasury colleagues when rates or approvals are required for specific customers.
• Balance cash and transaction records and report discrepancies or unusual activity promptly.
• Provide courteous counter service while protecting customer information and following operational controls.

Requirements and Qualifications

The role suits a detail-focused customer service professional who can work accurately with cash, financial records and customer instructions.
