Description

 To prepare a realistic and competitive estimate of the cost of labour and parts required for repairing the vehicle, in order to meet the set standards and customers satisfaction

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

Functional Roles and Responsibilities
  • Update the customer on the progress of the repair for their vehicle
  • Receive and greet customers, discuss the repair needs and guide them on insurance procedure to repair the damages
  • Collect all documents required for the insurance claim and prepare an estimate for the damages
  • Negotiate the estimate with the insurance companies and obtain the necessary approval to start the repairs
  • Submit additional repair cost whenever necessary and obtain the approval from insurance company.
  • Co-ordinate with parts department to order necessary parts, required for repairing the damages
  • Notify customer about the repair agreement between insurance company and service advisor and inform them of all related payments to be made and the expected completion time.
  • Carry out the repair order process with clear instructions for the technician and submit the repair order to the respective team leader
  • Organize inspection upon completion of the job to ensure the quality of the job meets the prescribed estimate and to satisfy the customer that the job has been carried out as desired
  • Deliver the vehicle in most courteous manner once the job has been completed to the entire satisfaction of the customer and authorities of the body shop so as to ensure continuity of business.
  • Establish healthy and profitable relationship by proactively communicating and following up with the existing as well as prospective customer on performance of their cars and if they required any service attention so as to consolidate and enhance the customer base.

Job Requirements

Education/Certification and Continued Education
  • Diploma in Automobile Engineering
Years of Experience
  • 3-5 years in a similar role.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Good knowledge in customer handling skills
  • Good knowledge of Job Costing, would be an advantage
  • Attention to details and concern for quality
  • Experience gained through formal training or work experience
