Bodyshop Quality Controller

Job Purpose

To ensure that all repair work performed in the bodyshop meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and manufacturer guidelines. The Bodyshop Quality Controller plays a key role in evaluating completed vehicle repairs, conducting quality checks, and preventing rework through expert oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and assess completed vehicles under simulated road conditions to detect structural or mechanical defects
• Conduct pre-road test inspections to confirm correct installation of components such as wiring, hydraulic systems, belts, fluids, and safety devices
• Evaluate vehicle condition post-repair, including bodywork, paint finish, interior features, and mechanical elements
• Perform operational checks of horns, heaters, wipers, power windows, and other electrical and mechanical systems
• Generate comprehensive quality control reports detailing findings, recommended actions, and resolutions
• Stay current with repair techniques, industry regulations, and manufacturer standards
• Participate in technical training, product updates, and hands-on workshops
• Support team members with technical guidance and assist in troubleshooting as needed
• Conduct spot checks on completed jobs to minimize comebacks and maintain repair excellence
• Complete ad hoc tasks assigned by the Workshop Manager or Aftersales leadership

Candidate Profile

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering

Experience

• Proven practical experience in the motor industry, preferably with exposure to premium automotive brands
• Prior experience as a Technician is essential

Skills & Competencies

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage
• Excellent attention to detail and knowledge of quality assurance procedures
• Team-oriented mindset with proactive technical support capabilities
• Familiarity with bodyshop processes and BMW repair protocols preferred
