Description
This management position leads enterprise risk management across agencies, sectors and departments, helping embed risk thinking into strategic planning, operational decisions and major programs. The successful professional will combine strong governance knowledge with practical risk assessment, reporting, mitigation and leadership skills. This is a full-time opportunity based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain the enterprise risk governance framework, including policies, procedures, accountabilities, action plans and implementation requirements.
- Integrate enterprise risk management with strategic planning, scenario development and opportunity-focused program planning.
- Lead periodic risk assessments and specialized strategic-risk reviews, bringing together stakeholders and converting findings into practical mitigation plans.
- Prepare and govern enterprise risk reporting for senior leadership, maintaining reliable risk records and monitoring implementation across agencies and sectors.
- Advise senior management on strategic, operational, project and emerging risks and ensure decisions remain consistent with the organization’s risk appetite.
- Monitor ERM performance against KPIs, identify corrective actions and support operational risk reviews and corporate audit activities.
- Strengthen risk culture through awareness initiatives, communication, training and measurable maturity-improvement programs.
- Lead the risk team, define objectives, manage performance, identify capability gaps and support mentoring and succession planning for national employees.
Requirements
Candidates should demonstrate the technical knowledge, analytical ability and stakeholder skills needed to operate effectively in a structured public-sector environment.
- UAE National.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering.
- At least 9 years of relevant experience with a master’s degree or 11 years with a bachelor’s degree.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise risk management, governance, risk assessment, reporting and mitigation.
- Ability to communicate complex risks clearly to senior stakeholders and coordinate across multiple organizational units.
- Strong leadership, analytical, planning and decision-making capabilities.
