Description
The Senior Manager – Electrical leads electrical engineering across real-estate developments, from design through construction, testing, commissioning and handover. The scope includes power distribution, lighting, emergency power, earthing, lightning protection, low-current systems, ICT, AV, security and smart-building systems. The role ensures coordinated design, regulatory compliance and the delivery of safe, reliable electrical assets.
Dubai Holding Real Estate seeks a dependable professional who can work collaboratively, exercise good judgement and help improve results over time. Solutions should be useful, secure and measurable, with appropriate human oversight and a clear understanding of data limitations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical engineering strategy and delivery across assigned projects.
- Review designs, calculations, specifications, drawings, BIM models, shop drawings and technical submittals.
- Manage MEP consultants, specialist designers, contractors, suppliers and testing or commissioning teams.
- Ensure compliance with relevant UAE authority requirements, including DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, SIRA and telecom providers.
- Oversee site inspections, quality issues, integrated testing, energisation, performance checks and corrective actions.
- Coordinate handover documents, as-built information, O&M manuals, warranties, training, snag closure and defect-liability obligations.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; a master’s degree or professional certification is advantageous.
- Around 12–15 years of progressive electrical-engineering experience on major developments, including management or technical leadership.
- Experience across design, construction, commissioning, authority approvals and handover.
- Strong understanding of UAE electrical regulations, international codes, utility requirements and safe systems of work.
- Excellent leadership, commercial judgement, negotiation, reporting and stakeholder-management skills.
