Role Overview
As a Senior Analyst – Compliance Assurance, you will support the execution of the Bank’s annual compliance assurance plan. You will conduct monitoring and testing activities to evaluate adherence to regulatory obligations and internal policies, helping to drive a culture of compliance and risk awareness across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in delivering the annual compliance assurance plan in coordination with the Compliance Assurance Manager.
- Conduct control testing and monitoring of business processes to assess compliance with relevant regulations and internal requirements.
- Support thematic reviews to evaluate the design and operational effectiveness of key compliance controls.
- Draft clear, well-structured reports detailing findings, root causes, and recommended corrective actions.
- Track and follow up on the implementation of remedial actions to ensure timely closure of issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including working papers and evidence supporting review outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of assurance methodologies and testing scripts.
- Stay informed on regulatory changes and emerging compliance risks that may impact assurance activities.
- Collaborate with first-line compliance and risk teams to share insights, promote best practices, and drive continuous improvement.
- Escalate material findings or issues to the Compliance Assurance Manager or Review Lead as needed.
Candidate Profile
Education & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance, internal audit, risk management, or a related assurance role in a regulated industry, preferably financial services.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Law, Finance, Business, or Risk Management).
Skills & Knowledge:
- Hands-on experience in conducting compliance monitoring, testing, or assurance reviews.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks applicable to UAE financial institutions (e.g., CBUAE, SCA).
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
