Pediatric Allergist

American Hospital Dubai is seeking a Pediatric Allergist to provide specialist assessment and treatment for children with allergic conditions. The role combines careful clinical evaluation, appropriate diagnostic work-up, individualised management and clear family communication, working with other pediatric services to support safe and coordinated care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess infants, children and adolescents presenting with suspected allergic or immune-related conditions.
• Review medical history, symptoms, triggers and prior treatment to guide an appropriate diagnostic approach.
• Develop individualized care and follow-up plans based on clinical findings and recognized practice standards.
• Explain diagnoses, potential triggers, treatment options and prevention measures to children and their caregivers in an age-appropriate manner.
• Recognize severe allergic reactions and ensure that urgent management and escalation procedures are followed.
• Coordinate with pediatricians and relevant specialists when patients have complex or overlapping clinical needs.
• Maintain accurate, confidential clinical records and communicate relevant findings to the care team.
• Contribute to patient safety, quality improvement and continuing professional development.

Requirements and Skills

• Mandatory UK CCT or American Board certification, with relevant subspecialty training and experience in Pediatric Allergy.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills in pediatric allergy care.
• Clear, compassionate communication with children, parents and multidisciplinary colleagues.
• Commitment to patient-centred care, clinical quality and professional standards.
• Candidates should hold the professional registration and licensing required for consultant practice in Dubai.
