Description
Qatar Airways Group is building a talent pool for a Transport Team Leader in Doha. The position supports catering transport and aircraft-service delivery, with responsibility for team coordination, on-time dispatch, roster administration, vehicle maintenance records, safety training records and operational reporting. It helps ensure flight services meet customer specifications and airport safety requirements.
The successful candidate is expected to follow established procedures, keep relevant records accurate and maintain open communication with colleagues. Operational priorities may change during a shift, so flexibility, sound judgment and the ability to complete assigned work safely and on time are important.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the transport team and support on-time dispatch for allocated flights.
- Review staffing rosters, vacation and overtime needs, voyage reports and monthly KPI information.
- Monitor on-time performance and coordinate drivers and equipment operators to meet service schedules.
- Support loading and offloading for scheduled, charter, VIP and other assigned flight operations.
- Check issued tablets, radios, PPE and probe equipment and maintain appropriate control records.
- Investigate operational discrepancies, support training and reinforce ramp safety, food safety and security procedures.
Requirements
- High-school qualification with at least 2 years of job-related experience, or a bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year.
- Excellent spoken and written English and a valid heavy-goods-vehicle driving licence are listed.
- Rostering experience, aircraft handover knowledge and familiarity with catering-vehicle loading or fleet management are beneficial.
- Candidates should be flexible with hours, attentive to detail and able to work under pressure.
