Description

To lead and manage end-to-end processes related to unserviceable aircraft components—from receipt and inspection to repair disposition and reintegration. The role ensures timely, cost-efficient component support to aircraft operations while optimizing component life cycle costs through technical evaluation, supplier management, and data-driven performance reviews. It oversees Total Component Support (TCS), logistics, expediting, and repair teams, aligning objectives to bring time and cost efficiency to the repair and pool management cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes, and manages the component repair team, overseeing the full supply chain for rotable components.
  • Defines clear reporting structures and responsibilities for team efficiency and accountability.
  • Develops and monitors KPIs to drive performance and cost efficiency across component repair and support functions.
  • Manages and escalates service level deviations with PBH (Power-by-the-Hour) contractors; tracks core return turnaround times and cost leakages due to delays or inefficiencies.
  • Coordinates with Line & Base Maintenance for real-time support in installation/removal activities to reduce penalties or downtime.
  • Utilizes AMOS analytics to identify trends and implement corrective actions in rotable and logistics management.
  • Collaborates with the TCM (Technical Configuration Management) team to ensure smooth transition from TCS to TCM phases, refining SOPs as necessary.
  • Initiates technical inquiries with CAMO and cross-functional stakeholders to maintain control over the component repair cycle.
  • Assesses and recommends new repair vendors to support operational growth.
  • Drives continuous improvement and automation across component repair workflows.
  • Oversees administration of Total Component Support in line with contractual obligations.
  • Builds cost control initiatives through negotiation, vendor diversification, and potential in-house repair capabilities.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Ensures component availability and compliance with SLA timelines; manages cost negotiations for over-and-above claims with service providers.
  • Evaluates reasons for parts declared as scrap and seeks cost-effective resolutions via internal and external channels.
  • Performs technical and commercial reviews of repair estimates, verifying cost legitimacy through shop reports, modification data, and reliability trends.
  • Handles claims related to customer-induced damages and warranty disputes; negotiates settlements with OEMs and repairers.
  • Investigates abnormal trends or repetitive failures; initiates corrective actions through supplier engagement and reliability analysis.
  • Reviews failure histories of parts marked as “rogue” and coordinates resolution with suppliers per contractual terms.
  • Maintains strong coordination with Maintenance, Planning, Procurement, and Technical Services to ensure availability and planning of components.
  • Ensures procurement processes adhere to regulatory and company standards.
  • Negotiates repair contracts and turnaround terms; conducts periodic vendor audits for quality and compliance.
  • Manages surplus, slow-moving, and scrap inventory to recover maximum economic value as per approved SOPs.
  • Supports other duties and projects as may be assigned in alignment with job function.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)

  • Sound knowledge of GCAA, FAA, and EASA airworthiness regulations
  • Proficient in AMOS and data analytics tools
  • Strong technical and commercial understanding of component shop reports and repair estimates
  • Experienced in managing high workload environments and ad-hoc operational challenges
  • Familiarity with industry policies, quality procedures, and regulatory compliance standards
