Description
Qatar Airways is recruiting a Licensed Aircraft Engineer in Doha to support aircraft maintenance and operational availability. The position applies licensed technical knowledge to scheduled and unscheduled maintenance within authorised scope, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and in compliance with approved maintenance data, company procedures and civil aviation requirements.
Engineering decisions must follow approved documentation and licence authority. Clear records, safe task execution and early communication of technical risks help maintain airworthiness, quality and operational reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan assigned maintenance tasks and use approved equipment and tooling in line with Qatar Airways procedures.
- Inspect, troubleshoot and rectify aircraft defects within licence privileges and assigned authorisations.
- Ensure work is properly documented and completed to required technical and quality standards.
- Review procedures and suggest improvements where they can make maintenance processes more effective.
- Coordinate with technicians, mechanics and supervisors to maintain safe and efficient task execution.
- Provide guidance to colleagues when required and report any technical or safety concern promptly.
Requirements
- A recognised aircraft-maintenance qualification or engineering degree is normally required for a licensed-engineer position.
- Applicants must hold the aircraft licence and approvals applicable to the assigned fleet and role.
- Experience with aircraft maintenance, technical documentation and regulatory compliance is important.
- Candidates should demonstrate sound judgment, clear communication and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
