Senior Officer – Treasury & Investment & Finance Sharia Audit

To perform the Corporate Banking Sharia Audit by carrying out Sharia audit engagements in the Corporate Banking Sharia Audit functions in accordance with the GISA audit methodology in a manner that will accomplish GISA’s objectives and fulfils the purpose and responsibilities.

Assist in preparing the respective Sharia Audit Plan

Assist in developing specific Sharia audit guides to ensure the smooth Sharia audit of specific products.

Conduct Corporate Banking Sharia audit on an annual basis as per the approved Sharia audit plan.

Find any potential Sharia breaches and raise the same to line manager.

Updating the checklist for every audit assignment carried out in Corporate Banking function.

Assist the line manager in preparing Sharia audit reports so that the same can be disseminated to the concerned departments’ in a timely manner.

Follow the planning, execution and reporting of individual audit assignments to ensure that professional standards are maintained.

Explain Sharia breaches to the auditee department and how to rectify the same in order to reduce future breaches.

Follow up on the implementation of ISSC resolutions with Auditees.

Assist the line manager with additional tasks as and when required.

All the above accountabilities include but not limited to any additional/new tasks or responsibilities assigned by the line Manager.
