Role Summary

As Head of Marketing Services, you will lead the development and execution of ADCB’s marketing strategy across retail banking channels. This includes brand management, campaign development, budget oversight, team leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with senior leadership to ensure alignment with ADCB’s corporate strategy and vision, while driving measurable business results.

Key Responsibilities

1. Marketing Strategy & Brand Management
  • Collaborate with senior management to provide strategic input on branding and marketing initiatives
  • Develop the annual business plan for Marketing Services in alignment with ADCB’s overarching strategy
  • Plan, design, and execute integrated marketing programs that promote the Bank’s image and drive business growth
  • Manage responses to short-term marketing and promotional requests from business stakeholders
2. Strategic Marketing Planning
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic marketing plans across various business segments
  • Establish and manage the annual marketing calendar, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Monitor competitor marketing activity and trends, reporting insights to executive management
  • Oversee allocation and control of advertising and promotional budgets across internal groups
3. People Management & Team Development
  • Lead a high-performing team, ensuring alignment with ADCB’s people management policies and practices
  • Set clear objectives, manage performance, and provide coaching and feedback to maximize team output and engagement
  • Foster a collaborative, creative, and customer-focused team culture
4. Budget Management
  • Contribute to the preparation of the marketing department’s budget
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance against targets; take corrective actions to address variances and capitalize on improvement opportunities
5. Policy & Process Optimization
  • Recommend and implement improvements to departmental policies, systems, and procedures
  • Ensure best-in-class delivery of services and marketing innovation in accordance with internal standards and regulatory guidelines
6. Continuous Improvement
  • Identify and lead change initiatives and strategic projects that enhance marketing effectiveness and efficiency
  • Stay informed on best practices and emerging trends in marketing, branding, and customer engagement
7. Customer Service Excellence
  • Embody ADCB’s service values in all internal and external interactions
  • Ensure high service standards and brand integrity in all marketing communications and customer-facing materials

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 9 years in a senior marketing role within the financial services sector, with experience in strategy development, campaign execution, and team leadership
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Branding, or a related discipline
  • Skills & Expertise:
    • Proven leadership in managing marketing functions, budgets, and cross-functional collaboration
    • Strong understanding of marketing operations, SLAs, and standard operating procedures
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
