Engineer – Enterprise Command & Control Center Operations

Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

Supporting governance frameworks across all RTA's operational control centers (OCCs), including the Enterprise Command & Control Centre (EC3). This role encompasses designing operational processes, analyzing operational data, and providing governance support for events. Responsibilities include overseeing EC3 operations, coordinating multimodal transportation operations across Dubai, and ensuring compliance with RTA standards. The Engineer will also aid in crisis management planning, training for control center functions, and maintaining effective knowledge management within the OC

Key Results Accountabilities

# Assist to perform operational readiness checks by carrying drill exercises, scenario planning etc

# Implement and maintain effective knowledge management practices to preserve critical information and ensure continuous learning and improvement within the OC

# Assist to compile and present detailed reports on OCCs performance, incident responses, and compliance issues to senior management, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making

# Support to manage communication frameworks across all RTA OCCs, ensuring clear, concise, and effective communication within and between OCCs and other RTA sector

# Continually assess and update operational strategies to adapt to changing circumstances and emerging challenges, ensuring RTA remains at the forefront of transportation management

# Support to drive innovation in OCCs operations by exploring and integrating advanced technologies and methodologies that can improve efficiency and effectiveness

# Execute additional duties as assigned by the direct line manager or the Department Director

# Follow up and monitor compliance with the highest operating standards by monitoring and ensuring adherence to the Authority’s policies and procedures in operational control center

# Develop and enhance governance frameworks for all RTA's operational control centers (OCCs), ensuring operational excellence and compliance with the standards

# Assist in suggesting & implementing process improvements based on data-driven insights and industry best practices to optimize the performance of multimodal transportation systems

# Assist to design and refine operational processes to increase efficiency, improve response times, and enhance service delivery across all O

# Provide analytical support to guide decision-making on operational and strategic issues, offering actionable recommendations to senior management

# Assist to review and analyze OCCs & EC3 operational data to identify patterns, predict future needs, and formulate strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing operational effectiveness

# Assist in the development and execution of comprehensive crisis management plans and event simulations, enhancing readiness and response capabilities

# Assist in providing essential support in governing large-scale events and managing crises, ensuring protocols are meticulously followed and operations are smoothly conducted

# Stakeholder Management - Basic Reporting - Data Management

Education

# Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Transportation &Traffic/Computer/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering or its equivalent from recognized university.

# 0-2 Years’ experience in a related field, particularly in operational control centers and data analysis
