Role Overview

The Engineer will support operational continuity across mobile applications, website, and self-service devices, ensuring high system availability and rapid response to incidents. The role requires a strong understanding of operating systems, monitoring platforms, disaster recovery procedures, and 24/7 operational support.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Department Manager and perform operational and administrative tasks in line with RTA standards.
  • Achieve and maintain high levels of system availability, performance, and service continuity.
  • Supervise and follow up on assigned tasks to ensure required quality and timelines.
  • Analyze evaluations and audit findings; develop corrective action plans and ensure compliance.
  • Monitor digital channels and identify issues affecting business continuity.
  • Understand and support mobile apps, web services, and self-service kiosk systems.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge across Unix, Linux, SQL, and Windows operating systems.
  • Work with monitoring systems, microservice protection tools, and manage OS upgrades.
  • Design, implement, test, and document disaster recovery plans for systems and networks.
  • Provide 24/7 operational support, including troubleshooting for applications, OS, and network issues.
  • Ensure full understanding of integration and touch-point functions with other dependent systems.
  • Coordinate with technical teams, service providers, and government entities for IT operations.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve software and hardware incidents affecting digital services.
  • Assess enhancement requirements and recommend improvements for future systems.
  • Ensure strict adherence to RTA Information Security policies, guidelines, incident reporting, and data-sharing procedures.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Engineering from a recognized university.
  • 0–2 years of experience in digital services operations, IT support, or related technical roles.
