Description

The Job

  • Provide system engineering and design support services to Project Managers to ensure the timely delivery of all projects within the stipulated time frame, quality and budget requirements.
  • Provide system design & engineering support through the preparation of system documentation & drawings, maintenance procedures etc.
  • Responsible for the on site supervision and implementation of the construction of an electronic security system.
  • Under the direction of the assigned Project manager, be responsible for the effective delivery of security systems projects, including resources, scheduling, procurement, and implementation of complete systems.
  • Carry out security surveys and audits of premises and systems, identify and quantify shortcomings, make recommendations etc.
  • Provide written reports, test procedures etc, conduct field testing and commissioning of complete systems.
  • In conjunction with the relevant Line Managers, ensure ESS deliverables for each project are clearly defined and understood, and within required contractual timelines.
  • Carry out the design and implementation of security designs, in accordance with relevant statutes and codes and to do so in accordance with industry best practice and the G4S Quality Assurance Systems and HSE Systems.
  • Maintain at all times client confidentiality and act with discretion and a high level of personal integrity.
  • Ensuring that the correct permits (i.e. permit to dig) are in place prior to work commencing.
  • Ensure that the Health, Safety & Environment policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
  • Monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe situations and developing measures to assure personnel health and safety
  • Perform other related function and duties as and when requested.


Selection Criteria:

  • A Bachelor of Engineering degree/diploma holder in Electrical, Electronics, IT or equivalent
  • Comprehensive knowledge of low current systems including Access Control, CCTV, Fire Alarm, Intercom, Gate barriers, Intruder Alarm, Network configuration etc.
  • Reasonable degree of IT Literacy – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, AutoCAD.
  • Proven knowledge Health & Safety best practices.
  • Demonstrate experience in the system design and implementation of security solutions and techniques in a Commercial, Military or Law Enforcement Role.
  • Willingness and ability to work flexibly and diligently as befits an important role within a fast growing division.
  • High level of self motivation and an ability to work with a high level of initiative and limited supervision, in high pressure situations.
  • Strong team player who can communicate, motivate and interact effectively with technical, commercial and clerical team-members.
  • UAE Driving License is a must
