Description
As Spa Director, you will lead all aspects of our spa and wellness operations, curating holistic guest experiences, ensuring operational excellence, and steering commercial success. You’ll be responsible for overseeing daily operations, team performance, wellness programming, and strategic development in alignment with Sofitel's luxury standards.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Operations
- Oversee all day-to-day spa operations and ensure alignment with brand standards and SOPs
- Develop and implement strategic business plans to grow revenue, reputation, and guest loyalty
- Create and enforce spa policies, procedures, and service standards
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, train, inspire, and retain a talented and guest-focused Spa team
- Promote a culture of wellness, continuous improvement, and excellence in service delivery
- Conduct regular team reviews, feedback sessions, and learning opportunities
Financial Management
- Develop and manage the annual operating and capital budgets for the spa
- Lead cost control initiatives, track KPIs, and oversee payroll, inventory, and service charges
- Analyze performance metrics and deliver monthly business performance reports
Guest Experience & Wellness Innovation
- Ensure a luxurious and personalized guest journey across all spa touchpoints
- Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and wellness practices
- Oversee the development of innovative wellness and beauty programs
- Enhance offerings through seasonal promotions, wellness retreats, and hotel packages
Sales, Marketing & Business Development
- Drive the spa’s 12-month marketing strategy in collaboration with the hotel marketing team
- Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and promotional campaigns
- Act as the brand ambassador in key meetings, events, and industry forums
Administrative Excellence & Compliance
- Implement robust administrative systems and ensure regulatory compliance
- Coordinate with senior hotel leadership for cross-departmental collaboration
- Handle additional responsibilities or initiatives as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Spa Management, Hospitality or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a spa leadership role, ideally in a high-volume, luxury hospitality environment
- Proven track record of operational success, business growth, and exceptional service delivery
- Strong financial acumen and ability to interpret performance data and budget reports
- Deep understanding of spa therapies, wellness trends, and guest engagement strategies
- Passionate about delivering transformational guest experiences
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
