Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to lead the Digital Sales and Solutions function within Global Transaction Banking (GTB) by partnering with large corporate clients to design and deliver API-led, scalable digital workflows that address specific industry needs. The role is pivotal in driving commercialization of digital products, fostering innovation through strategic ecosystem partnerships, and supporting the bank’s digital transformation agenda across the UAE and GCC. Through a consultative approach and deep market insight, the incumbent will enable GTB to lead in digital client engagement, operational efficiency, and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities / Result Areas

Digital Strategy & Roadmap
  • Define and lead the digital solutions roadmap, aligned with the GTB strategic vision and client expectations.
  • Establish and manage team-level KPIs for digital sales, client engagement, and solution deployment.
Client Engagement & Digital Solutioning
  • Engage directly with large corporates across sectors to assess financial workflows, pain points, and digitalization opportunities.
  • Lead design thinking workshops and co-creation sessions with clients to build tailored, replicable, and scalable digital solutions.
  • Drive the adoption of API-led platforms, ensuring high client onboarding and usage metrics.
Innovation & Ecosystem Partnerships
  • Develop partnerships with FinTechs, platform providers, regulators, and government agencies to promote open innovation and ecosystem growth.
  • Advocate for Open Banking, embedded finance, and real-time transaction capabilities that enhance the client experience.
Internal Collaboration & Product Enablement
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders – Product, Sales, Technology, Risk, and Operations – to ensure seamless delivery of solutions.
  • Translate client needs into actionable business requirements, ensuring feasibility and speed to market.
Commercialization & Go-to-Market
  • Drive commercialization of new digital offerings through data-driven market analysis and go-to-market strategies.
  • Support relationship teams in digital wallet share growth, onboarding, and cross-selling efforts.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
  • Ensure all digital offerings are secure, compliant, and aligned with GCC regulatory frameworks and Open Banking standards.
  • Maintain robust controls and reporting across all digital initiatives.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing Digital Sales & Solutions team; build capabilities in digital advisory, agile delivery, and client engagement.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, excellence, and accountability within the team.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • MBA or equivalent post-graduate qualification (preferred)
Work Experience
  • 15–20 years’ experience in transaction banking, digital transformation, or FinTech, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record in API-led solutioning, digital commercialization, and Open Banking frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with agile delivery, digital product development, and managing cross-functional project teams
Technical & Business Competencies
  • Deep understanding of GCC corporate banking ecosystems and digital trends
  • Strong grasp of digital sales strategies, business architecture, and industry-specific digital workflows
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills, including C-level client engagement
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance innovation and execution
  • Familiarity with core banking systems, API gateways, digital platforms, and ecosystem orchestration
