AI Project Manager – Data Science & Artificial Intelligence Center

The AI Project Manager will lead, manage, and deliver RTA’s AI-driven projects that align with Dubai’s smart city goals. This pivotal role bridges innovation and execution, ensuring AI initiatives deliver tangible public value while adhering to strategic, technical, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end management of AI projects including planning, execution, resource allocation, and performance tracking.
• Align projects with RTA’s AI Roadmap and broader digital transformation strategies.

• Lead AI program budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning.
• Develop business cases and conduct cost-benefit and ROI analysis for AI initiatives.

• Manage external vendors, consultants, and technology partners to ensure timely, high-quality project delivery.
• Collaborate with internal teams including IT, strategy, data governance, and business units.

• Translate business needs into actionable AI solutions using machine learning, NLP, computer vision, and automation.
• Supervise the design and operation of data lakes, ETL processes, and model pipelines.

• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and performance tracking tools using Power BI, Qlik Sense, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Present regular progress updates, insights, and recommendations to executive stakeholders.

• Ensure all AI initiatives comply with UAE data laws, RTA’s data governance policies, and cybersecurity standards.
• Support implementation of responsible AI practices and contribute to RTA’s ethical AI framework.

• Mentor AI professionals and junior team members.
• Support the development of AI-related training programs and internal awareness campaigns.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related technical field.

• Minimum of 14 years of experience in AI, IT project management, or data platform leadership roles.
• Proven record of leading enterprise AI/ML implementations in large-scale organizations.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Expertise in AI platforms and tools (e.g., Python, TensorFlow, Azure AI, AutoML).
• Strong experience with data lakes, ETL workflows, data warehousing, and big data ecosystems.
• Proficiency in data visualization platforms (Power BI, Qlik Sense, Microsoft Fabric).
• Sound knowledge of data privacy, security protocols, enterprise architecture, and data governance (e.g., ISO 27001, NDMO, NIST).
• Familiarity with Agile, PMP, or Prince2 project management methodologies.
