Description
The Head of Cash Management – C&IB will lead the strategy, development, and delivery of cash management products and solutions for the Corporate & Institutional Banking segment. The role demands deep domain expertise in payments, collections, liquidity management, and digital channels. This position is key to driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and delivering world-class transaction banking experiences to clients.
Key Areas of Expertise:
- 15+ years of techno-functional experience in Cash Management for Wholesale/Corporate Banking
- Advanced knowledge of:
- Payments & Collections (including SWIFT, RTGS, ACH, APIs, Host-to-Host, and corporate gateways)
- Virtual Accounts, Liquidity & Pooling structures, Escrow, Merchant Acquiring
- Strong understanding of product structuring, system capabilities, regulatory norms, and embedded banking solutions
- In-depth knowledge of local and regional payments ecosystems across GCC/MENA
- Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams and engage in C-suite client discussions
- Proven expertise in client relationship management and stakeholder leadership
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership:
- Define and implement the cash management growth strategy for the C&IB segment in alignment with the bank’s goals.
- Drive revenue expansion via fee-based income (NFI) and net interest income (NII), leveraging innovative products and client solutions.
- Champion the use of data, analytics, and cash flow mapping to identify wallet opportunities and drive strategic conversations with Coverage teams.
- Stay abreast of global cash management trends, competitor offerings, and innovations to maintain a competitive edge.
- Lead and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and client-focused culture.
2. Business Development & Client Engagement:
- Act as the senior product expert and advisory partner for complex structuring, bespoke mandates, and cash management RFPs.
- Partner with Coverage teams to deepen client relationships and grow share of wallet by offering tailored, value-added solutions.
- Drive cross-sell of transaction banking products across client portfolios, improving product penetration and client retention.
- Lead strategic partnership development with fintechs, technology providers, and ecosystem partners to drive innovation.
3. Product Innovation & Management:
- Develop and manage a strategic product roadmap, with a strong focus on digital enablement, automation, and client-centric features.
- Work closely with Product, Technology, and Operations teams to design and roll out scalable, market-leading solutions.
- Ensure that all cash management offerings comply with regulatory requirements, market practices, and internal governance frameworks.
4. Risk Management & Governance:
- Maintain robust risk management and control frameworks to ensure the safe delivery of transaction banking services.
- Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Operations to monitor, manage, and mitigate product, operational, and credit risks.
- Ensure full compliance with local and international regulations, including KYC, AML, and transaction monitoring standards.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline (Master’s or MBA preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of payments ecosystems, API banking, liquidity management, and virtual accounts
- Certifications in Transaction Banking, Risk Management, or Product Management are an advantage
