Consultant/ Specialist Vascular Surgeon

This position contributes to clinical services through professional judgement and collaboration. The successful candidate will deliver agreed objectives, maintain accurate records and support consistent, high-quality outcomes within the department’s priorities and approved scope.

Key Responsibilities

Assess patients with arterial, venous and lymphatic disorders, review diagnostic imaging and laboratory findings, and develop evidence-based treatment plans. Perform vascular surgical and endovascular procedures within approved credentials; coordinate pre-operative assessment, informed consent, perioperative care and follow-up. Recognize complications early, respond to urgent presentations and coordinate with emergency, radiology, anesthesia, nursing and rehabilitation teams. Maintain complete clinical records, communicate risks and treatment options clearly, and contribute to clinical audit, patient-safety initiatives and service improvement.

Requirements and Qualifications

A recognized medical degree and postgraduate specialist qualification in vascular surgery are required, together with an appropriate current professional licence or eligibility for the relevant UAE health-authority category. Experience should match the consultant or specialist designation and include management of vascular disease and procedures within the candidate’s scope of practice. Strong clinical judgement, ethical conduct, teamwork and communication are essential.
