Department Manager

The Department Manager oversees the daily performance of an assigned department and helps the store deliver its sales, service and operational goals. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee department operations and ensure adherence to company policies, stock procedures and customer-service standards.
• Help the team achieve sales, conversion, customer satisfaction and stock-loss prevention targets.
• Coach retail staff and make sure they have product knowledge and service skills to support customers effectively.
• Assist the Store Manager with daily store operations and take end-to-end responsibility when the manager is absent.
• Promote the loyalty programme and support repeat business through positive customer engagement.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure products reflect current trends and brand expectations.
• Monitor department performance, provide feedback about products and employees, and help resolve operational issues.
• Coordinate staff rosters, leave matters and grievances while maintaining a professional and secure store environment.
