Description
The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer supports the reliability of digital products and systems used in travel services. The role helps define test coverage, validate new features, investigate defects and improve software quality throughout the delivery lifecycle. Working with product owners, developers and business users, the engineer will ensure that changes meet functional expectations, integrations behave correctly and releases are supported by clear evidence and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Review requirements and prepare test strategies, test cases and scenarios for new features and system changes.
- Execute or coordinate functional, regression, integration and user-acceptance testing as appropriate to each release.
- Log defects with clear reproduction steps, track resolution and verify fixes before release.
- Collaborate with developers, analysts and product teams to identify risk areas and improve test coverage.
- Maintain test documentation, quality metrics and release evidence and recommend improvements to testing practices.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience in software quality assurance or testing, including work on complex digital or travel systems.
- Understanding of test planning, defect management, regression testing and software delivery practices.
- Ability to interpret requirements and communicate technical issues clearly to business and engineering teams.
- Automation testing, API testing or continuous-integration experience is advantageous where relevant.
