Senior Engineer-Roads Urban Design (Only UAE National)

This position manages the technical planning and implementation of road urban design scopes, with a focus on quality, sustainability, visual integration and compliance. The role requires a professional who can assess designs, coordinate contractors, monitor site execution and support smooth handover of completed infrastructure elements. This is a full-time opportunity based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate project studies and technical specifications for road urban design while maintaining alignment with urban design and sustainability principles.
• Review internal design development and contractor submissions to confirm accuracy, completeness and compliance with technical requirements.
• Conduct site inspections to verify construction against approved designs, materials, specifications and quality expectations.
• Coordinate the treatment of areas affected by road projects and support implementation in accordance with relevant municipal agreements.
• Manage handover activities and ensure completed urban design works are transferred to responsible departments through approved procedures.
• Prepare reports, coordinate agreements and follow up on project studies, budgets, costs and contractual expectations.
• Develop better contractor work methodologies and contribute to manuals, policies and aesthetic guidelines covering public art, signage and beautification.
• Work closely with internal departments, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders throughout project delivery.

Requirements

Candidates should demonstrate the technical knowledge, analytical ability and stakeholder skills needed to operate effectively in a structured public-sector environment.

• UAE National.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architectural engineering, urban planning, civil engineering, electrical engineering or a related engineering field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience with a master’s degree or 4 years with a bachelor’s degree.
• Knowledge of road infrastructure design, urban planning, sustainability and technical review.
• Strong site coordination, reporting and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work in a role requiring regular field presence.
