Research Compliance Specialist (UAE Nationals)

Job Overview

Khalifa University is seeking a Research Compliance Specialist for UAE Nationals to support the administration of research compliance activities and committees, including the Institutional Review Board (IRB), Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) and Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC). The position helps ensure research activities follow applicable laws, ethical standards, university policies and approved protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct preliminary administrative checks of IRB and IACUC submissions for completeness and readiness for review.
• Coordinate with investigators to resolve missing or incomplete documentation.
• Log, organize, track and route research compliance and integrity submissions.
• Coordinate reviewer and committee assignments and monitor review progress.
• Support IRB, IACUC and IBC meetings, including scheduling, agendas, materials, attendance and records.
• Maintain minutes, decisions, correspondence and compliance documentation.
• Communicate submission requirements, review status and follow-up actions to researchers.
• Support research-integrity case administration and records management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific, health-related or relevant academic field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of research ethics, compliance and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Strong administrative, documentation, coordination and communication skills.
• UAE National eligibility is required for this position.
