Manager, Project Cost Optimization Studies

Lead project cost-optimization reviews and studies that help business units deliver efficient projects with controlled costs and strong value. The role examines engineering options, reviews project documentation, coordinates multidisciplinary review sessions and communicates recommendations to relevant leaders for feasibility assessment and implementation. This full-time opportunity is based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, with duties and stakeholder interfaces shaped by the assigned function and asset.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate engineering options for projects selected for cost-optimization studies and assess whether proposed solutions provide value.
• Review engineering and cost documents submitted by project management teams and prepare clarifications before review sessions.
• Coordinate annual study plans with group companies and organise preparation meetings with discipline leads and other stakeholders.
• Lead review sessions, document principal findings and communicate recommendations to relevant directorates and senior management.
• Assess implementation feasibility with engineering, project and cost-estimation teams and identify lessons learned and repeatable good practices.
• Explore relevant technology, AI and sustainability levers to strengthen optimization methods and improve the review process.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• At least 15 years of experience in project management and engineering.
• Strong understanding of current engineering technologies and practical cost-optimization methods.
• Leadership, planning, cost control, coaching, interpersonal communication, computer application and English-language skills are important.
