Description
Build practical aviation engineering capability through a structured development programme across fleet technical management and/or line and base maintenance. Trainees learn from experienced engineers while supporting technical reviews, maintenance activities, documentation and reliability analysis under supervision. The programme provides exposure to maintenance programmes, aircraft systems, warranty, propulsion, technical records, logistics and other engineering functions, with progress assessed against training objectives and safe working standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support development engineers and continuing-airworthiness staff with data collection, technical requests and performance reporting.
- Participate in an agreed training programme and complete learning tasks set by the training manager or line manager.
- Assist with supervised technical analysis, troubleshooting, trend identification and maintenance recommendations.
- Learn to evaluate Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins and modification requirements and record supporting evidence.
- Support line or base maintenance teams with assigned inspections and routine maintenance tasks within training authorisations.
- Complete work and documentation accurately, follow safety precautions and promptly report problems to supervising engineers.
Requirements
- Be prepared to learn across several technical functions and accept regular feedback and assessment.
- Follow aircraft-maintenance procedures, safety precautions and regulatory instructions without deviation.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate clearly when tasks, tools or instructions are unclear.
- Be able to work collaboratively in maintenance environments with operational priorities.
Qualifications
- Relevant engineering education or an eligible technical background for the selected programme.
- Interest in aircraft systems, maintenance, reliability and continuing airworthiness.
- Progression depends on successfully completing the agreed training and meeting the required competency standards.
