Job Overview
Khalifa University is recruiting faculty in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence at Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. Successful candidates will advance robotics research and education through strong scholarship, teaching, graduate supervision, and academic leadership. Areas of interest include AI for robotics, robotic autonomy, and intelligent autonomous systems, alongside related research that strengthens the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct internationally competitive research in robotics and artificial intelligence and publish in leading journals and conferences.
- Develop and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses covering robotics, autonomous systems, and related AI topics.
- Secure, manage, and complete funded research projects in line with project plans and responsible research practices.
- Supervise graduate students and research teams in accordance with academic rank and previous supervisory experience.
- Contribute to curriculum development, course innovation, assessment, and improvement of university-level engineering education.
- Build collaborations that support entrepreneurship, technology transfer, innovation, and multidisciplinary research programmes.
- Participate in departmental and university service and promote a collaborative, safe, and inclusive research environment.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required.
- Research achievements and scholarly standing should be commensurate with the academic rank sought.
- Candidates should demonstrate teaching excellence and experience supervising graduate students appropriate to their career stage.
- Evidence of securing and managing funded research and a strong publication record is expected.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, academic leadership, and commitment to innovation are important.
