Description
Ounass is seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer to guide platform and infrastructure engineering for a high-traffic digital commerce environment. The role combines hands-on cloud engineering with technical strategy, reliability, automation and security, helping teams build and operate scalable services with dependable deployment and monitoring practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Set technical direction and engineering standards for cloud infrastructure, DevOps and site reliability.
- Design and maintain production-grade AWS and Kubernetes environments for scalable commerce services.
- Build infrastructure-as-code and configuration workflows using tools such as Terraform and Helm.
- Lead reliable CI/CD pipelines with platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI and ArgoCD.
- Improve observability, incident response, service-level objectives and recovery performance.
- Partner with engineering and product teams to solve complex platform, security and cost challenges.
Requirements
- Have at least eight years of DevOps, SRE or platform engineering experience.
- Bring deep hands-on AWS and Kubernetes knowledge in production environments.
- Demonstrate infrastructure-as-code, configuration management and scripting skills in Python, Bash or Go.
- Understand cloud security, networking, cost optimisation and incident management.
Qualifications and Skills
