Description
Role Overview
- Responsible for monitoring and managing food storage, thawing, and rotation to ensure compliance with food safety standards
- Inspects the quality and temperature of all received goods; labels and records deliveries accurately
- Prepares and processes a variety of meat cuts including beef, lamb, and pork, ensuring correct labeling and storage
- Cooks food in accordance with established recipes, presentation guidelines, and quality expectations
- Maintains strict standards of hygiene, portion control, and product freshness throughout all prep and cooking activities
- Assists management with team coordination including training, scheduling, and supporting staff development
- Upholds all safety, sanitation, and company procedures, ensuring a clean and professional kitchen environment
- Communicates clearly and professionally with team members, contributing to a positive and productive work culture
- Physically capable of lifting and transporting up to 25 lbs and performing tasks involving bending, twisting, and extended standing
- Demonstrates consistency, reliability, and attention to detail in a fast-paced kitchen setting
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 4–6 years of experience in a similar culinary or food preparation role
- No supervisory experience required
- Strong understanding of food handling, storage, and kitchen operations
