Our Expectations From the Role: Receiving Associate (Culinary / F&B Stores)

As a key part of our culinary and supply chain team, you will play a critical role in ensuring product quality and safety for all incoming food deliveries. Your attention to detail and adherence to food safety standards will directly impact the exceptional service we deliver to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Weigh all meats, seafood, and poultry upon arrival before signing invoices
• Spot-check perishables and non-perishables for quality, quantity, packaging, and correct temperatures
• Verify invoices against purchase orders to confirm pricing and specifications
• Identify and reject products that show signs of temperature abuse, cross-contamination, or substandard quality
• Ensure immediate storage of refrigerated and frozen items—within 30 minutes of delivery
• Document any shortages or damages directly on the invoice
• Maintain proper timecard procedures, reporting in uniform and punching in/out accurately
• Adhere to scheduled meal breaks (2 x 15 minutes and 1 x 30 minutes)
• Report any issues or complaints to your supervisor promptly
• Follow all property access policies—no unauthorized presence outside of working hours except for meals
• Uphold the Marriott 39-Point Checklist for receiving and food safety
• Follow all Marriott standards of uniform and associate relations
