Plumber

Position Summary

The role is responsible for performing routine plumbing maintenance and repairs, including assembling, installing, and maintaining pipe systems, fittings, and fixtures. The position also supports general maintenance tasks and ensures all duties are carried out in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair minor plumbing issues such as clogged drains.
• Assemble pipe sections, tubing, and fittings using hand and power tools.
• Fill pipes or fixtures with water or air to detect and locate leaks.
• Review blueprints, building codes, and specifications to determine work details and procedures.
• Inspect structures and study building plans to plan plumbing installations.
• Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required angles.
• Install and maintain pipe assemblies, valves, appliances, and fixtures.
• Perform general minor repairs as assigned.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance on tools and plumbing equipment.

• Follow all safety, security, and company policies and procedures.
• Report any safety hazards, accidents, or injuries immediately.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean, professional uniform and appearance.
• Ensure confidentiality of proprietary information and safeguard company assets.

• Greet and interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Anticipate and address guest needs promptly and efficiently.
• Maintain positive working relationships with team members and other departments.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
• Uphold quality standards in all maintenance and repair tasks.

• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 75 lbs without assistance.
• Assist with lifting and positioning objects over 100 lbs as needed.
• Manual dexterity to grasp, turn, and manipulate tools and components of varying sizes.
• Ability to reach overhead, bend, twist, stoop, and perform tasks in confined spaces.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at various heights.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Perform additional job duties as assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: Degree from a Technical, Trade, or Vocational School in Plumbing or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of related work experience in plumbing or general maintenance.
• Supervision: No prior supervisory experience required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Plumber Certification
• Stationary Engineer / Boiler Operator License (if applicable based on jurisdiction or role)
