Registered Nurse – Homecare

This position contributes to homecare nursing through professional judgement and collaboration. The successful candidate will deliver agreed objectives, maintain accurate records and support consistent, high-quality outcomes within the department’s priorities and approved scope.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver safe, person-centred nursing care in patients’ homes in line with approved care plans and professional scope. Assess health status, monitor vital signs and symptoms, administer prescribed medication and treatments, support wound care and mobility, and help patients manage chronic or post-discharge needs. Educate patients and caregivers, maintain infection-control practices, document visits accurately, protect confidentiality and promptly escalate deterioration or safeguarding concerns. Coordinate care with physicians, families and other healthcare professionals to support continuity and patient independence.

Requirements and Qualifications

Applicants should hold a recognized nursing qualification and current registration or licence accepted by the relevant health authority. Practical nursing experience, sound assessment skills, accurate documentation and the ability to work independently while seeking support when needed are important. A valid life-support certificate may be required by the employer or regulator. Candidates should demonstrate empathy, reliability, clear communication and respect for patient privacy.
