QHSE Officer – Facilities Management Soft Services

The QHSE officer supports safe, compliant and consistent soft-services operations by carrying out inspections, checking work practices and helping teams meet quality, health, safety and environmental requirements. The role translates policies into practical site controls and tracks corrective actions to completion. This position is part of quality, health, safety and environment in soft services and contributes to reliable, professional day-to-day delivery. The successful candidate will follow established procedures, maintain accurate information and work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve agreed standards.

Key Responsibilities

The main responsibilities include the following:

• Conduct site inspections and audits covering hygiene, cleaning methods, PPE, chemical use and safe work practices.
• Record hazards, non-conformities, incidents and customer concerns, then track corrective actions.
• Support risk assessments, toolbox talks, inductions and awareness sessions for frontline employees.
• Review checklists, permits, safety data sheets and other required QHSE records.
• Analyse recurring findings and work with supervisors to improve compliance and prevent repeat issues.

A practical understanding of the function, sound prioritisation and timely escalation will help protect quality, safety, cost and customer commitments.

Requirements and Qualifications

• QHSE, occupational safety, environmental or facilities-related training is desirable.
• Experience in soft-services, cleaning, facilities or similar site operations is beneficial.
• Knowledge of risk assessments, incident reporting, inspection methods and corrective-action tracking is important.
• Candidates should be detail-oriented and confident communicating safety expectations to operational teams.

Candidates should show relevant experience, learn local procedures quickly and meet any required statutory or professional standards.
