HVAC Technician

As a Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of all HVAC and refrigeration systems within the property. Your technical expertise will ensure that guests and team members enjoy a comfortable, efficient, and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to HVAC and refrigeration maintenance requests, prioritizing guest room issues.
• Diagnose and repair faults in air-conditioning, refrigeration units, building control systems, and related electrical systems.
• Perform regular preventive and corrective maintenance as per departmental schedules.
• Monitor and record daily refrigeration readings; ensure compliance with operational standards.
• Conduct periodic inspections of chillers, AHUs, fan coil units, exhaust systems, walk-in cold rooms, etc.
• Maintain water treatment systems and safely handle associated chemicals.
• Collaborate with the electrical team for cross-functional tasks, especially during functions and events.
• Assist with the planning and execution of annual maintenance programs.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in excellent condition; uphold hygiene and safety standards.
• Assist in other duties and special projects as assigned by the Shift Supervisor or Engineering leadership.

Qualifications

• Secondary School Certificate + Technical College Diploma (or equivalent in HVAC or Mechanical Engineering).
• Strong practical trade skills in HVAC systems, fabrication, and installation.
• Proven experience in:
  • Refrigeration and A/C troubleshooting and repairs
  • Building Management Systems (BMS)
  • Chillers, AHUs, FCUs, and cold room systems
  • Preventive maintenance schedules
  • Water treatment knowledge and chemical handling
• Basic proficiency in Gas and Arc Welding is an advantage.
• Ability to read technical drawings and interpret building schematics.
• Good spoken and written English communication skills.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, team-oriented, and flexible to work shifts.
