Manager – Enterprise Risk | UAE National

Job Overview

Lead the enterprise risk-management agenda across the Authority, linking risk governance with strategic planning, scenario development and opportunity assessment. The manager establishes common policies and accountability arrangements so agencies and departments can identify, assess and respond to risks consistently. The role also provides senior leaders with clear reporting that supports informed decisions, resilience and organizational performance.

The work requires coordination across departments, delivery partners and technical specialists. Strong governance, accurate records and timely escalation are important because decisions can affect public infrastructure, service reliability and long-term asset performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the enterprise risk framework, including policies, procedures, action plans and responsibilities across departments.
• Integrate risk assessment into strategic planning, business scenarios and integrated opportunity-focused programmes.
• Coordinate risk owners to identify significant exposures, assess their potential impact and agree practical treatments.
• Prepare periodic risk reports for the Director General and Chairman of the Board of Directors.
• Monitor risk indicators, mitigation actions and emerging issues, following up with responsible business units.
• Promote consistent risk practices, strengthen internal controls and advise leadership on material changes in the risk environment.

Requirements

• The position calls for sound judgement when evaluating complex risks and communicating them to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree in risk management, business, finance, accounting, engineering or another related discipline is appropriate for this role.
• Professional risk, audit or governance credentials may support an application where relevant.
• Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience with organizational policies, risk registers and management reporting.
