Manager – Safety Certification and Regulation | UAE Only

Are you a seasoned safety professional with expertise in railway systems, risk management, and regulatory compliance? Join RTA Dubai and play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, certification, and compliance of Dubai’s railway infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and implement the Railway Safety Certification & Regulation Framework in alignment with approved legislation and international best practices.
• Develop and manage safety regulatory inspections, certification applications, and permits for Independent Safety Assessors (ISAs).
• Monitor and evaluate the safety performance of railway systems including Metro, Tram, and Monorail to ensure full compliance.
• Provide strategic and technical advice on railway safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Maintain effective relationships with regulatory bodies, consultants, contractors, and safety authorities.
• Lead investigations into safety-critical incidents, accidents, and potential regulatory violations.
• Ensure compliance with RTA’s Asset Management System (AMS) and internationally recognized railway safety standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science (preferably in Electrical, Automation, Mechanical, or Railway Systems). A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 11 years’ experience in railway system safety, automatic train control, and risk management.
• Deep knowledge of Railway Safety & Risk Management, Systems Assurance, Safety Engineering, and Automatic Train Control Systems.
• Chartered Engineer accreditation from a recognized professional body is highly desirable.
• Proven expertise in RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety), regulatory compliance, and safety certification processes.
