Operator – CNC

The Operator - CNC supports precision manufacturing by preparing tooling and helping ensure machine setup matches the production requirements. The role requires careful handling of tools and components, attention to job instructions and regular checking of output. Safe operation and accurate reporting help maintain consistent production quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Review job requirements and confirm the correct tooling and materials before setup.
• Select, install and verify toolings according to production instructions and approved procedures.
• Check first-off and in-process components for visible defects or dimensional concerns as assigned.
• Monitor machine operation and report unusual noise, vibration, tool wear or production variation.
• Keep the work area organized and follow machine safety and changeover procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications

Candidates should be able to follow technical instructions and work carefully with production equipment. CNC or machining experience is beneficial; the required level depends on the assigned machine and responsibilities. Machine adjustments must stay within training and authorization.

Work Approach

Verify the machine and tooling against the job information before production begins. Do not remove guards or change settings outside the approved procedure; ask the supervisor when instructions conflict.
