Description
The Relationship Manager - Business Banking vacancy is part of the Retail and Business Banking - Small Enterprise function at Mashreq in the United Arab Emirates. The Relationship Manager will manage and grow a portfolio of small-business customers while developing new business relationships. The role covers customer acquisition, lending and non-borrowing requirements, account development and cross-selling, with a strong focus on responsible onboarding and portfolio quality. The successful candidate will contribute to dependable delivery, accurate records and a professional experience for the customers and colleagues supported by the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage existing small-enterprise relationships and maintain regular contact to understand business needs.
- Source new-to-bank customers through referrals, prospecting, walk-in opportunities and other approved channels.
- Assess customer requirements and identify appropriate borrowing, deposit, trade and transaction-banking solutions.
- Prepare or coordinate credit proposals and account information in line with internal approval procedures.
- Complete KYC and AML requirements, monitor portfolio quality and identify opportunities to upgrade or expand relationships.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Available role information indicates approximately four years of relevant banking experience.
- A graduate qualification is relevant; an MBA, chartered-accountancy qualification or comparable higher credential may be advantageous.
- Experience serving small-enterprise or business-banking customers and understanding lending processes is useful.
