Assistant Relationship Manager

Job Overview

Support relationship managers serving business and commercial clients by coordinating client service, credit documentation, portfolio monitoring and banking transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop client relationships alongside Relationship Managers.
• Respond to client enquiries and coordinate timely resolution with internal departments.
• Identify portfolio opportunities and support cross-selling and customer engagement.
• Prepare credit proposals, memos, amendments, revalidations and related documentation.
• Support industry and financial analysis for credit assessment.
• Monitor portfolio documentation, covenants and credit-review requirements.
• Coordinate trade finance, term loans, remittances, account opening and other banking transactions.
• Liaise with Risk, Credit, Treasury, Legal, Operations and Compliance teams.
• Maintain AML/KYC controls, AECB checks, audit readiness and accurate portfolio records.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; MBA, CA or CFA is advantageous.
• Minimum 4 years in Business, Commercial or Corporate Banking or similar.
• Experience supporting relationship management and credit activities.
• Understanding of financial statements, credit analysis, portfolio management and banking regulations.
