Senior Supply Chain Manager

Careem is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Manager in Dubai to own demand planning for its Grocery business. This senior individual-contributor role combines statistical forecasting, S&OP leadership, inventory optimization and hands-on data work. The position requires someone who can build forecasting models across SKUs, categories and dark stores, challenge commercial assumptions, manage supply risks and translate complex demand signals into decisions for senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain demand-forecasting models across SKUs, categories and dark-store locations.
• Use statistical methods such as time-series analysis, regression and ML-assisted forecasting while validating results against actual demand.
• Develop scenario-planning frameworks for seasonality, promotions, product launches and macroeconomic changes.
• Own weekly and monthly S&OP processes and align commercial, operations and logistics stakeholders.
• Set and monitor inventory targets that balance product availability, holding cost and waste.
• Work with category and logistics teams to design replenishment logic suitable for quick commerce.
• Write SQL queries, build actionable dashboards and evaluate AI/ML tools for forecasting improvements.
• Translate forecasts, variances and supply risks into clear updates for senior leadership.
• Automate processes where appropriate and continuously improve planning systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or a closely related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience in demand planning, supply chain or a related function.
• Quick-commerce, grocery, e-commerce, high-velocity retail or high-growth technology experience is preferred.
• Advanced hands-on SQL and advanced Excel or Google Sheets capability.
• Strong understanding of statistical forecasting methods including exponential smoothing, ARIMA and seasonality decomposition.
• Proficiency with Looker, Tableau, Metabase or an equivalent BI platform.
• Python or R skills are advantageous.
• Familiarity with AI/ML forecasting tools and strong stakeholder influence without formal authority.
