Description

Join the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and contribute to ensuring the successful governance, quality assurance, and compliance of digital systems and IT services. As a Specialist – IT Governance & Quality Assurance, you will play a vital role in implementing the Application Governance Framework (AGF), managing risks, and supporting strategic compliance initiatives that uphold the digital integrity of Dubai’s transport ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and monitor adherence to RTA’s Application Governance Framework (AGF) across IT services and digital platforms.
  • Coordinate AGF risk assessments, conduct control reviews, and support the development and maintenance of policy documentation.
  • Assist in the development and automation of compliance and GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) tools to streamline reporting and control processes.
  • Evaluate medium and low-level control compliance, and compile detailed AGF reports for committee and executive review.
  • Support evidence management, automation of governance controls, and oversee supplier compliance with AGF standards.
  • Conduct research on emerging technology governance trends, contributing to the enhancement of RTA’s IT governance strategy.
  • Collaborate with application owners, internal assessors, and external auditors to ensure alignment with AGF policies and controls.
  • Deliver and support training, workshops, and awareness sessions to promote AGF compliance and foster a culture of governance excellence.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT governance, risk assessment, and compliance within a structured digital environment.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of technology quality assurance, GRC frameworks, and application-level security controls.
  • Proficiency in compliance automation tools, centralized evidence systems, and governance reporting.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards, particularly ISO 27001, ISO 20000, and ITIL-based governance practices.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with vendors, internal departments, and technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with a strong commitment to governance excellence.
