Description
Job Purpose
This role is responsible for managing credit limit administration related to credit facilities, ensuring accurate and compliant processing across FAB’s systems. The individual will provide leadership and guidance to team members handling day-to-day transactions and ensure alignment with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and approved credit terms. The role also plays a key part in ensuring operational efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Credit Limit Management & Transaction Processing- Authorize and process credit limits in accordance with approved terms, including encoding into bank systems, and maintaining bank and country limits as per credit approvals.
- Ensure accuracy in the application of interest rates, commissions, fees, and charges.
- Process and/or authorize:
- Loan memos and disbursement instructions
- Provisioning memos, customer grade changes, and suspension of interest
- Write-off entries and interest amendments
- Bulk uploads for limit extensions (Corporate, PCG, Investment Banking, FI clients)
- Downgrades/upgrades of counterparties in the system and Central Bank as per approvals
- RB code updates in GLCMS and T24
- Liability / No Liability certificates and other customer-related letters
- Instruction memos to relevant teams (Loan Ops, Client Services)
- Ensure compliance with FAB’s policies, Central Bank regulations, and international branch guidelines.
- Support in monitoring internal control procedures and flag any potential risks or irregularities.
- Maintain awareness of updated regulatory guidance and internal policy changes.
- Ensure documentation archiving aligns with unit process requirements.
- Support Team Leaders in work allocation and ensure the smooth flow of day-to-day operations.
- Monitor submission channels (email/workflow systems) and assist in prioritizing tasks.
- Provide on-the-job training and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions for the team.
- Monitor team performance, ensure proper back-up coverage, and identify skill gaps.
- Promote continuous learning and professional development.
- Ensure a high level of internal customer satisfaction by providing accurate and timely service.
- Address service requests, queries, escalations, and deficiency reports proactively.
- Foster strong relationships with internal departments to ensure process alignment and continuity.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders on report preparation (e.g., CBRB mismatch reports, ORR mismatches).
- Prepare and deliver reports for HO-CCU & Sanctions, HO-CAD, and senior management as needed.
- Report Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Operational Loss Incidents in a timely manner.
- Undertake special projects and assignments as required by management.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risk.
Key Accountabilities
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures- Adhere to all departmental policies, processes, SOPs, and SLAs to ensure consistent and controlled operations.
- Uphold FAB’s values and ethics to contribute to a strong organizational culture.
- Contribute to identifying opportunities for improvement in systems, processes, and practices to support productivity, compliance, and cost optimization.
- Assist in the timely preparation and accuracy of departmental reports and dashboards, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Banking, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in the banking sector, with at least 2 years in credit limit or credit facility operations.
- Demonstrated growth in responsibilities and experience with credit administration processes.
