Job Purpose
The Senior Relationship Manager (SRM) is responsible for originating, developing, and managing long‑term strategic relationships with corporate and investment‑grade clients. The role focuses on deepening wallet share, delivering tailored financing and advisory solutions, and ensuring high standards of credit quality and portfolio management. The SRM serves as the primary client advocate, coordinating cross‑functional product teams across Corporate Finance, Global Markets, Transaction Banking, and Investment Banking.
Key Result Areas
Client Relationship Management
- Develop and execute relationship strategies for a portfolio of corporate, institutional, and multinational clients.
- Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring exceptional coverage and building multi‑level client engagement.
- Identify and pursue cross‑sell opportunities across loans, trade finance, treasury, capital markets, and advisory solutions.
- Maintain deep understanding of client business models, industry dynamics, and financial performance.
Business Development & Origination
- Drive revenue growth by originating new lending, investment banking, and transactional banking mandates.
- Lead deal pipeline development, including opportunity identification, client pitches, term sheet structuring, and negotiation.
- Coordinate with Product, Risk, Legal, and Compliance units to deliver seamless execution.
Credit & Portfolio Management
- Prepare high‑quality credit proposals, financial analysis, and risk assessments in collaboration with credit teams.
- Manage asset quality, monitor early warning indicators, and ensure proactive portfolio reviews.
- Ensure strict adherence to credit policies, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor portfolio profitability and optimize capital allocation.
Transaction Execution
- Lead end‑to‑end execution of financing transactions (bilateral lending, syndicated loans, project finance, structured lending).
- Support investment banking mandates including capital markets issuances and advisory transactions.
- Ensure timely completion of documentation, compliance checks, and internal approvals.
Market & Industry Expertise
- Maintain a strong understanding of macroeconomic conditions, sector trends, and regional investment activity.
- Provide strategic insights to clients, management, and product partners.
- Represent the bank at industry events, conferences, and client forums.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with internal policies, regulatory frameworks, KYC/AML requirements, and audit standards.
- Champion ethical conduct, client confidentiality, and internal controls.
- Support remediation actions where required and maintain readiness for regulatory examinations.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- 10+ years of relationship management experience in Corporate or Investment Banking.
- Strong credit analysis skills and experience structuring complex corporate financing.
- Proven track record of managing large corporate clients and originating high‑value transactions.
- Deep knowledge of regional/international financial markets, banking products, and regulatory environment.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
