Description

Role Purpose

To ensure accurate, timely, and compliant processing of customer transactions while maintaining the highest level of service quality, operational efficiency, and adherence to Sharia principles (for Islamic Banking). The role is also responsible for maintaining complete documentation, generating MIS reports, and supporting internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly verify all customer transaction requests for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with the bank’s policies and approval frameworks.
  • Identify and escalate any missing documents, discrepancies, or clarifications required for processing the transaction.
  • Prepare vouchers and ensure accurate system entries aligned with approvals, with timely issuance of customer advices.
  • Deliver high-quality, error-free transaction processing within agreed SLAs, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Generate and maintain accurate MIS reports to support operational monitoring, performance review, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all records, transaction files, and documentation are properly archived for easy retrieval and audit readiness.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of customer data, transaction details, and product-related information.
  • Promote compliance with operational, regulatory, and Shariah guidelines (where applicable) during the transaction life cycle.

Technical Competencies

  • Proficient in core banking systems and transaction processing platforms
  • Strong understanding of banking products, services, and operations
  • Knowledge of Islamic finance principles and Sharia-compliant transaction structures
  • Awareness of fraud detection and prevention techniques
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and internal risk controls
  • Capable of MIS generation, data analytics, and reporting
  • Solid grasp of Trade Finance transaction handling (if applicable)
