Description

The Marketing and Communications Manager plays a critical role in enhancing the property's brand image and guest engagement by executing innovative, on-brand marketing strategies. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communication, this role drives customer engagement and revenue growth through digital, social, and traditional media. The focus includes developing marketing campaigns for rooms, Food & Beverage, and special events, as well as managing internal and external communications, social media presence, and public relations activities.

This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams—including eCommerce, Sales, Revenue Management, and Operations—to ensure marketing initiatives align with overall business objectives and brand standards.

Candidate Profile

Education & Experience

Required:
  • Associate’s degree (2-year) in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, or related field with 4 years of relevant experience in marketing, digital, or communications; hospitality marketing or digital advertising experience preferred.
    OR
  • Bachelor’s degree (4-year) in Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or related major with 2 years of relevant experience; hospitality or agency experience preferred.

Core Responsibilities

1. Hotel Marketing & Advertising
  • Execute the property's annual marketing plan in alignment with budget and strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with Sales, F&B, Revenue, and Operations teams to implement guest-focused promotions that drive incremental revenue.
  • Coordinate with advertising agencies on creative and media planning—particularly for F&B.
  • Ensure alignment of all advertising with brand voice and standards.
  • Oversee campaign executions (e.g., email, paid digital, display advertising) and ensure appropriate audience targeting.
  • Maintain communication and alignment with Cluster eCommerce Managers.
2. Social Media Management
  • Create, schedule, and publish social media content across platforms.
  • Launch targeted campaigns for F&B, weddings, spa, events, and room packages.
  • Monitor and respond to social media feedback; manage online reputation.
  • Track engagement metrics and optimize content strategy accordingly.
3. Public Relations & Media Engagement
  • Develop and implement quarterly PR plans in collaboration with PR agencies and leadership.
  • Draft and distribute press releases for events, promotions, and partnerships.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with local media, influencers, food critics, and bloggers.
  • Manage media tracking, reporting, and clipping collections for internal distribution.
  • Organize media visits, press events, and community engagement activities.
  • Coordinate hotel photography and visual content in alignment with brand guidelines.
4. Direct Marketing & Collateral Development
  • Develop and manage hotel and F&B print collateral and signage.
  • Monitor collateral inventory and ensure compliance with brand standards and audits.
  • Assist in the development of seasonal/holiday promotions with relevant visuals and messaging.
  • Maintain a competitive library of marketing materials and tactics.
5. General Responsibilities
  • Serve as the marketing point of contact for Sales, Operations, and Executive leadership.
  • Provide marketing training and guidance to GMs, Sales Managers, and Revenue leaders.
  • Support the execution of newsletters, internal communications, and joint promotions.
  • Liaise with eCommerce to ensure website content and third-party listings are up to date.
  • Track performance of marketing initiatives and report KPIs.
  • Stay current on industry and competitor trends, digital marketing innovations, and brand positioning strategies.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Proficiency with creative tools (e.g., Adobe Suite, Canva) and CMS platforms
  • Ability to build strong relationships across departments and with external partners
  • Data-driven mindset and ability to interpret campaign performance metrics
