We are currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Manager to join our Supply Chain team in our Headquarters, located in DAFZA, Dubai Airport Free Zone.

Scope

Manager-Supply Chain Management is responsible for overseeing the planning, procurement, storage, control, and distribution of materials and products according to company needs and customer requirements, this role ensures efficient management of the materials supply chain, focusing on inventory optimization, cost reduction, and high service levels. The manager leads a team to maintain a seamless operation and supports the strategic goals of Transguard Group.

Financial

  • Budget management: Develop and manage the materials management budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Cost reduction: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in the procurement and storage of materials.
  • Financial reporting: Provide regular financial reports on materials management activities and performance.

Customer

  • Internal collaboration: Work closely with internal business units to understand their materials needs and ensure timely availability and delivery or the required materials.
  • Supplier management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality and timely supply of materials to the company stores.
  • Customer service: Ensure that materials management practices meet or exceed the expectations of internal and external customers.

Process

  • Inventory management: Oversee inventory control processes to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize excess stock.
  • Process improvement: Develop and implement best practice for materials management to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in all materials management activities.
  • Project planning: Assist with project migrations, mobilization, demobilization, audits, and perform administrative tasks as needed.
  • QSHE management: Ensure the QHSE requirements are being implemented and followed in the stores.
  • Quality control: Maintain 6S practices and adherence in the stores.

Innovation

  • Technology integration: Leverage technology and automation tools to improve materials management processes and reduce manual work.
  • Continuous improvement: Foster a culture or continuous improvement by identifying and implementing innovative solutions to materials management challenges.
  • Industry trends: Stay up to date on the industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance materials management practices

Selection Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or a related field, a relevant professional certification is preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Extensive experience in materials management, inventory control, or supply chain management preferably in the business service sector, and contract management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Details oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
