Manager – Safety Certification and Regulation | UAE Only

Are you a safety expert with experience in railway systems, risk management, and regulatory compliance? Join RTA Dubai and play a vital role in ensuring safety, certification, and compliance across Dubai’s railway infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and implement the Railway Safety Certification & Regulation Framework in line with approved legislation.
• Develop and oversee safety regulation inspections, certification applications, and permits for Independent Safety Assessors (ISAs).
• Monitor and evaluate railway systems (Metro, Tram, Monorail) to ensure safety compliance.
• Provide technical and strategic advice on railway safety policies and regulations.
• Manage relationships with regulatory bodies, consultants, contractors, and safety authorities.
• Lead investigations into safety-critical incidents, accidents, and regulatory violations.
• Ensure compliance with RTA's Asset Management System (AMS) and international railway safety standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science (Electrical, Automation, Mechanical, or Railway Systems). A Master’s degree is preferred.
• 11+ years of experience in railway system safety, automatic train control, and risk management.
• Strong understanding of Railway Safety & Risk Management, Systems Assurance, Safety Engineering, and Automatic Train Control Systems.
• Chartered Engineer accreditation from a recognized institute is preferred.
• Expertise in RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability & Safety), regulatory compliance, and certification processes.
