Infrastructure & Cloud Architect

Join the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) as an Infrastructure & Cloud Architect and play a pivotal role in designing and implementing secure, scalable, and cost-efficient infrastructure solutions. This position supports Dubai’s smart city transformation by aligning technology with enterprise architecture and driving innovation across cloud and on-premises environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain hybrid infrastructure solutions aligned with RTA’s enterprise architecture.
• Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud systems using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver tailored infrastructure solutions.
• Optimize cloud resource usage, manage costs, and ensure high performance and reliability.
• Develop and enforce governance policies for cloud usage, ensuring compliance with regulatory and security standards.
• Maintain comprehensive architecture documentation and support audits and infrastructure decision-making.
• Stay current with emerging cloud and infrastructure technologies to drive innovation.
• Ensure seamless integration of infrastructure with RTA’s enterprise systems to promote interoperability and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum 8 years of experience in infrastructure design and cloud architecture.

Technical Expertise

• Proficiency in cloud platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Cloud networking and object storage
  • Solution architecture and technology design
  • Governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) in IT environments
