Description

To monitor and inspect heavy vehicles to ensure compliance with technical standards, safety regulations, and RTA policies, thereby contributing to road safety and protection of public property.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct field inspections of heavy vehicles, particularly during restricted movement hours.
  • Identify and report violations related to vehicle safety, unauthorized access, and protection of RTA infrastructure.
  • Operate and monitor surveillance cameras and electronic systems within the Smart Control Center.
  • Take necessary enforcement actions based on surveillance outcomes, including issuing fines or violations.
  • Inspect vehicle advertising permits, safety stickers, and compliance with health and safety guidelines.
  • Schedule and conduct weekly visits to designated inspection sites; compile and report inspection results to management.
  • Ensure vehicle compliance with traffic regulations by inspecting:
    • Overall vehicle condition
    • License plates
    • Tire condition and pressure
    • Vehicle weight and load
    • Functional lighting and signaling systems
  • Enter inspection and violation data accurately into tracking and reporting systems.
  • Verify the operational status of all surveillance and monitoring systems, reporting any malfunctions.
  • Comply with RTA’s Information Security policies and protocols, including data sharing and privacy standards.
  • Immediately report Information Security incidents to the direct supervisor and IT support team.
  • Participate in Information Security awareness programs and mandatory training.
  • Follow all management directives related to information security and confidentiality.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
  • 0–2 years of relevant work experience in vehicle inspection, transportation, or related fields
Languages:
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Arabic proficiency is a strong advantage

Technical Skills

  • Basic knowledge of light and heavy vehicle parts and motorcycle mechanisms
  • Familiarity with traffic regulations and vehicle inspection procedures
  • Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Active listening and clear communication abilities (verbal and written)
