Purpose of the Job

Drive global business growth by leading the end-to-end tender management process across Air, Ocean, and Land logistics. Ensure strategic alignment, operational excellence, and high win rates for RFQs & tenders through effective stakeholder collaboration, process optimization and data-driven decision-making. Act as a key liaison between global, regional and cluster teams to implement best practices, enhance pricing strategies and support key account development.

Role Overview

•    Enabling RFQ and tender wins for Air/Ocean/Land
•    Driving improved win rates for Globally defined RFQs
•    Execution of Global Tender process, strategy and regional alignment
•    Safeguarding high-quality and excellence in all operative tender related activities
•    Building the bridge between all involved stakeholders in the TM process globally, regionally and across clusters
•    Active participation in improving the Global Tender Process in line with the business objectives
•    Deep engagement with the product COOs to drive effective win ratios

Job Description

Key Accountabilities
•    Support our key accounts business growth
•    Successful execution of the end-to-end tender management process in compliance with global SOP
•    Implement strategic approach, goals and targets of Global Tender Management across the regions globally
•    Manage transition to customer implement process
•    Keep functional costs as per budget through efficient processes and resource allocation
•    Case studies/ new solutions by product
•    Updates on global pricing process and ensure effectiveness
•    Educate stakeholders on the process and deliverables within the tender process
•    Interpret and/ or analyze tender report data from GTP and provide input for enhancement of available dashboard
•    Chair and prepare for the Tender Review Board
•    Complete Post Mortems on select tenders to drive process improvement
•    Update the Tender Calendar and compliance
•    Disciplinary leadership of Regional GTM Team and Functional leadership of Cluster GTM Teams
•    Participate in Global Tender Management relevant discussions or projects globally, regionally and in the clusters
•    Participate in Management Forums i.e., Tender Review Board (TRB), Regional Commercial Planning leadership team
•    Collaborate with Global Product owners on solutions and target pricing 
•    Collaborate with Regional Commercial and Product teams on target RFQs
•    Collaborate with Global MNC Team on RFQ Calendar and target tenders

Job Requirements - Experience and Education

•    15 years’ experience in tender management and experience as Head of Global Tenders
•    Work experience in logistics industry, preferably air freight
•    Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
•    Proficient in express, air freight, sea freight and logistics / warehousing business
•    Excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational and presentation skills
•    Preferred degree or equivalent in Logistics or Supply Chain management.
